One of our qualified and experienced members of staff will assess you in the clinic. This is an important stage behind your rehabilitation as it allows us to see the stronger and weaker areas of your body that will need to be addressed.

The assessment and rehabilitation process depends upon your level of activity and sport. It could be as simple as asking you to touch your toes but it could include asking you to perform some jumps or running on the treadmill. One of the most important parts of the rehab is that it is highly specific to you and your personal goals.

Rehabilitation equipment to get you fit again

At the clinic, we have a variety of equipment; including a treadmill, static bike and a Cybex machine. Cybex is a trade name for an 'isokinetic' machine used both to measure knee function and for knee rehabilitation. It allows muscles to be exercised at a constant speed. This offers special benefits in knee rehabilitation as it is the fastest way to gain muscle strength. On occasion, we also utilise the use of diagnostic ultrasound imaging for the re-education of contracting muscles that help stabilise spinal segments.
