'the varney practice'

Mike Varney, widely recognised as Physiotherapist for Tottenham Hotspur Football established what was then called 'The Varney Practice' in Enfield 1976.

Mike had qualified as a Remedial Gymnast in 1972 whilst serving in the Army and went on to enjoy an illustrious career as a Physiotherapist for Tottenham Hotspur Football Club from 1975-1986, during which time he set up what was to become the modern day Varney Physio.

Varney Physio is now owned and run by Mike's son, Steve Varney...

The practice is still based at the original location in Enfield. After qualifying in 1992, Steve specialised in Intra Muscular Stimulation treatment and worked in the IMS centre of excellence in Vancouver, Canada.

Steve went on to gain a certified instructorship - one of only three qualified to practice in the UK - which was awarded in Seoul, Korea. He was also awarded an honorary fellowship from ISTOP (the IMS institute) in 2005.
